When I lived in New Orleans (moved out from Katrina), there was a road sign with an old Mondale Ferraro sticker on it. If you were coming out of Metairie using Metairie Hammond Highway, it turns into NO Hammond Hwy when you cross the parish line, and if you keep going to get onto Allen Toussaint Drive (fka Robert E. Lee Blvd), the sign was right about there

Also, to those of you up for the challenge, I urge you to note that there are three Ns in Inconspicuous Consumption, and it would probably be appreciated if at least one of them were upside down.

Somebody has to ask. Can it be purple?

Correction, it was FORD DOLE. I see those stickers are on eBay.

Not sure if you’ve covered this before but being postal related I figured it’d be worth sharing. I’ve recently noticed that the bottom right panel of each blue mailbox has the month/year it was made embossed on it. I’ve noticed that most of the mailboxes in my neighborhood were recent replacements done this decade but there is one holdout from 1973.

This is the kind of important reporting that we love here at IC.

I'll start looking for that -- thanks, Alex!

I have been seeing a VW Beetle in my neighborhood lately with a shiny clean BUSH-DOLE bumper sticker. I don't know much about cars but it sure doesn't look like a 38 year old VW.
