The white line is a great innovation and I was very pleased when it was added to Alexandria bike trails. While I generally avoid riding on my local one at night because it's in the woods and very dark, on the occasions when I did, it was so much better after the white line was added. The Mount Vernon Trail would benefit from it as well, so I'll bring it up with Friend of the Mount Vernon Trail. The NPS won't do it, at least not under the current regime.
