I was going to suggest a T-shirt with a yellow diamond-shaped sign reading "SPEED HUMPS" but I see you already have a BOMP T-shirt in the store. Congrats on 1 year and I hope you're having as much fun writing as we are reading.
You talked me into it! I absolutely love it. This is exactly the kind of thing the internet should be used for. And now I need to go back and read all about Bread Tags!
IC has been a fantastic read - very glad I kept (and renewed!) my subscription after the changeover. And I'm glad that you seem so energized by it! You're doing great work, as always.
Happy anniversary! I've really enjoyed the past year and I'm excited to see what's in store for the next one. I can honestly say it's changed how I view the world - plus I got to explain the difference between speed bumps/humps to my family.
Happy anniversary, long time UW here but as I’ve said in the past I found myself gravitating more and more to the non-uni related items over the years and really enjoy IC.
Also bread tags… do you know how many times I bring them up to friends and family??? Love it.
What a milestone! I honestly didn't know what to expect when you first started but it's been an absolute joy to read about the subjects you focus on. I've been surprised how it's opened up my own curiosity and stirred me to find things for you (how many of us have wanted to find a nice red Pyrex bowl for you?) to help tell your stories. Keep up the great work!
Congratulations! Everytime I get an email announcing a new post, I know it will be a deep dive into something esoteric and amazing. I have sung the praises of this newsletter to many and I hope it results in more subs! Keep up the great work.
Congratulations! I've enjoyed all your posts, but especially the ones about old business stationery/forms and the gorgeous illustrations that decorated them.
Happy Anniversary! As a holdover from UW, I have to say I love IC. Although unis were the main reason why I started following back in the day, Paul's other articles - the road trips in different parts of the country, foodie stuff, and IC-type articles were great because I enjoy all of those things myself. As an avid road-tripper, the highway sign series has been my fav. Here's to many more years of IC!
I'm a lapsed UW subscriber (my interest waned seemingly just as Paul's did) but have been happy to re-discover his work as an IC subscriber.
Your enthusiasm really comes through in your writing, and is contagious. I'm glad you've found an outlet that's re-kindled your creative fire, and hope to keep enjoying (and supporting!) IC for years to come.
I'm enjoying IC and will continue to subscribe, along with UW, which has also had a good year under new management. It's the best of both worlds.
I had a feeling there was some road geek in you for years and that there is a sports uniforms/road geek overlap in people other than just me. Can transit foaming be far behind?
When you going on a big trip again? I always enjoyed the travel logs and am eager to read some more.
Though of course it’s even better you’re having so much fun.
Congrats Paul those are impressive stats!

Me too! I love talking about bread tags. Thanks Paul!

It's been a trip to see your work evolve as it has above and beyond.
