Hello! Response to last week’s digest post was very positive, so I’m going to keep on doing this each week. Here we go:

Saturday, July 1

• Phil and designer Chris Diamond explored what MLB might look like if every team had dark, monochromatic uniforms. A really interesting design experiment!

Sunday, July 2

• Phil and contributor Kary Klismet looked back at the sports uniforms best suited for the Fourth of July.

Monday, July 3

• I wrote about what Twitter’s new log-in rule will mean for Uni Watch. I didn’t publish anything else that day, because we were on the cusp of the holiday and I figured everyone was busy with other stuff. (And as it turns out, that post is now moot because Twitter has rescinded the rule.)

Tuesday, July 4

• I did my usual Independence Day ritual of trying to find an image that captures America in a nutshell. Again, that was the only post of the day.

Wednesday, July 5

• The Sacramento Kings will have new uniforms this season. Here’s a look at what they’ll be wearing.

• A Uni Watch reader got a box full of cool promo items from UCF, which is celebrating its move to the Big 12.

• Some college football teams outfitted by Adidas get preferential treatment, and some get super-preferential treatment. Details here.

Thursday, July 6

• A little plastic accessory on the knob of Reds rookie Elly De La Cruz’s bat led to a five-minute game delay — with the perfect punchline.

• You may have seen a Boston Celtics cap before, but you probably haven’t seen one in Dallas Cowboys colors.

Friday, July 7

• Cleveland Guardians manager Terry Francona says the team wanted to have its players all wear No. 14 to mark the anniversary of Larry Doby breaking the American League color barrier, but MLB wouldn’t allow it.

• We’ve known for a while that the Buccaneers will be reviving their creamsicle throwbacks this fall, but they still haven’t unveiled the new retro threads. That will finally change next week.

• I recently visited a New Jersey vintage shop and found a bunch of cool stuff that should be of interest to Uni Watch readers.

• I bought one thing in that vintage shop, which turned into a fun DIY project and a new addition to Uni Watch HQ.
