Great idea! Thanks for pulling the digest together

Love this Paul. I visit UW every day but missed the C flap story so yes this is a great idea!

The blog is the highlight of my day and if I miss a late entry, it is easy with the new format to catch up on an entry. I don't know what the extra work for you is, but I think the current set up of the blog meets my needs, as is. However, if the labor for you is minimal, I can see this proposal's usefulness for others.

Thanks, Bill. That was my thinking -- that the blog's current home page made it easy for anyone to catch up. But it takes very little extra work to create the digests, so I don't mind doing that if it's helpful for some readers. Thanks for your feedback!

Terrific idea to do a weekly digest! Please keep them coming!

I think it is very useful. I try to keep up with the daily blogs but sometimes you've done a "breaking news" post and we may miss it. A nice weekly re-cap is appreciated and I look forward to that and your regular substack column as well.

Big fan of this! Like Patrick said, I try to get to the daily entries but it's great to have a reference to see if there's stuff I missed.

Love this digest. I try to read every day but I occasionally miss something interesting. This is great.

I definitely fit your presumed profile -- a daily blog reader and Substack subscriber. I think a digest is a great idea, though the best format may need some tweaking. My suggestion would be to focus on highlighting keywords or phrases (i.e. team names, players, topics) over the chronological date headers.

You can put me down as another regular blog reader who finds this digest surprisingly useful. It's easy to drift away for a couple days and end up never noticing some great blog posts. So a Friday summation could really help draw my attention to what I might have overlooked.

Love this idea!!! I was a daily reader and even though I enjoy the new format, I have found myself missing more stories as of late. Hope you go forward with this!

I actually love this idea. I kind of stopped reading traditional blogs because they just don’t fit my workflow anymore. Email newsletters help much more, and a weekly digests fits perfectly within that workflow. That way I can read the blog entries that interest me. Great idea!

Not something I am interested in, but also not concerned to get an extra email. I haven't paid close attention to when I receive the normal Substack notice--so, depending on when that is, may want to schedule so they aren't both delivered on same day. how lazy am I to not want to have to read the subject line! I'll add that one of the things I like about the new blog format is that having smaller posts, but more per day makes it easy to see content of interest I may have missed the last day or two.

I agree with all of this!

Big foam thumbs up to the digest! I've drifted away with the reformatting but this will probably pull me back in.

I like the idea of the Friday recep. Even as a daily blog reader its nice to see if there was something I may have missed or a story I want to reread with new context. Hopefully its not too much work!
