Monday, Jan. 29
With the two Super Bowl teams established, I looked at the potential uni matchups for the big game.
In a feel-good follow-up to a an earlier Uni Watch story, a reader’s minor league hockey logo finally made its on-ice debut, more than 30 years after it was designed.
Not exactly a surprise, but still: We already knew the Texas Rangers would have a gold-trimmed championship cap, and now we know they’ll also have a gold-trimmed jersey.
Tuesday, Jan. 30
A reader created a Uni Watch jigsaw puzzle for his son’s birthday.
We got our first look at a Mets road jersey rendered in Nike’s new template.
The latest episode of Antiques Roadshow featured a gorgeous 1942 game-used Ted Williams jersey.
Kansas City will be wearing red jerseys and a shitload of patches for the Super Bowl.
Wednesday, Jan. 31
In a significant historical discovery, it turns out that a Negro League ballclub was using NOBs way back in 1942!
The Phillies’ City Connect jersey appears to have leaked.
The two Super Bowl teams will be wearing the Super Bowl patch on opposite sides of the jersey, which extends an unusual streak.
The Orioles appear to be hinting at a possible alternate cap design.
Thursday, Feb. 1
The Mets might be reviving their old Mercury Mets “futuristic” uniforms for one game this season.
