Happy "Gotcha Day" to Biscuit and Waffles! I don't know how non-animal people fet through life. I have both my dogs at my feet now and like you, can't resist taking pictures of them.

I love seeing all these pictures--thank you for sharing!

It's been especially meaningful to me over the past year or so; I started following the UniWatch blog around 2007, around the same time I adopted my big beloved cat, so I followed the journeys of Caitlin and Tucker alongside his all those years. Our guy got sick last year and passed away in December; I can't tell you how many times I went back to read your memorial post about Caitlin in those days where I was struggling so much emotionally--it was moving and inspiring and so much more.

To then follow Biscuit and Waffles as you brought them into your life was really meaningful as well, and, though my wife and I haven't yet taken the plunge to bring anyone else into our lives, your adoption of these two together--and their relationship with each other, which I love--has inspired me to want to adopt a bonded pair together this time. Thanks again for sharing!

Happy adoption day! There’s something special about animals that have bonded. My shih-tzu (Theodore) and chihuahua (Pedro) are similar. We went to adopt Theodore from the local animal shelter and ended up taking his roommate too because they had obviously bonded. We’ve had them almost 10 years now and it’s still rare to get a picture of one without the other.

We have two black and white cats, Buddy and People, the latest in a long line of B&Ws. They couldn't be more different - People is 23 pounds, Buddy about 8, and they don't cuddle up together. Added a tabby a couple of years ago, too.

They're so cute and pose so well! They don't look at all impatient with you, fiddling with the exposure and focus.

I've been waiting for a Biscuit & Waffles update! I love them, they're two of the cutest cats I've seen and so photogenic! Interesting that Waffles was originally called Clyde - I have a ginger tabby called Clyde - but he looks much more like a Waffles than a Clyde.

They are beautiful 🐈‍⬛ cats. I love the way they pose together. I liked reading about how and why they got their names. My daughter rescued 2 dogs.🐶 They were named Ben and Jerry. She changed their names because her 2 sons were named Ben and Jerry. 😂

Great article to start the week. Happy adopt-i-versary to B&W, and you too, Paul! My own rescue kitty (a Xmas gift from an ex) is around 17-and-a-half and still going pretty strong. May they both last as long.

I love these cats! Do they like being held or do they wriggle their way out of it if you try?

Waffles lets me pick him up and have my way with him. Biscuit is more squirmy about being picked up, but she'll curl up in my lap and purr several times a day.
