At the house we moved from 5 years ago, there was a 60’ oak tree in the backyard that had a giant canopy that overhung the back of the house. It would have been a miracle if there were not any leaves stuck in the siding between September and December! The bigger miracle was where all the acorns ended up. If you’ve ever seen Looney Toons “Pests for Guests” cartoon, that would give you a good idea! https://archive.org/details/pests-for-guests-1955-restored

I don't recall any leaves around my house in NJ sticking into siding like that, but I'm always amazed every autumn when leaves manage to wedge themselves between the boards of our deck. Every time, I expect to be able to dislodge them with a rake or broom or even my foot as I walk by. More often than not, though, they're wedged in there and need to be removed by hand or by flattening them with my foot and dragging them on the deck to pull them out.

Big props to your cats, who were very obliging to regard that leaf (or at least appear to be doing it) in tandem and on cue, yielding that excellent shot.

Love the Miracle Leaf! Last fall we had a large maple leaf somehow get lodged in our car’s rear view window wiper. My 10-year-old daughter made me leave it in place so we could see how long it would last. It ended up staying lodged in there for several weeks, including surviving several cross-state (Washington) trips. Eventually it dried out so much that it just crumbled away, but what a trooper!

Aaaah, I meant to attend that sign presentation. I just made a new print with some of the people involved with the presentation (Heart & Bone), and it features 24 neon signs that are still standing/hanging in Chicago: https://www.thechicagoneighborhoods.com/shop/p/chicago-signs

Paul, are you eating burnt popcorn?

Ha, yes, a few burnt kernels in that batch.

Confession: I kinda like them, as long as there aren't too many of them.

Wouldn’t it be more satisfying to eat it out of a classic (green) Pyrex bowl?

#mircaleleaf would be a great series. Last month, a single leaf was floating mid-air at my daughter's school. I encountered the leaf in the morning at drop-off. Then, by afternoon pickup, the leaf was still levitating in the air! I took a video in the morning.

I had to re-read several times:

"St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Mike Wilson signing his own card", shouldn't that be "Perez?"

Isn’t the Pink Floyd album Ummagumma an example? I guess sort of: the band members are rearranged in each case.

This has happened to me twice; coming across a leaf suspended by a spider web.

That's what I thought Paul's was going to be at first. I've seen many leaves in spider webs, but they've all been stuck in the web, rather than seemingly hanging by a thread of it.
