Stick Figures in Peril: Hospital Edition

A few things I spotted before and after yesterday’s foot surgery.

Yesterday afternoon.

Hello! Big thanks to everyone who expressed concern and support about my foot surgery, which took place yesterday morning. As you can see above, I’m back home now, with my left foot in a protective boot, and with two titanium screws now holding my foot together. Can’t wait to see an X-ray of that when I visit my doctor for a follow-up visit on Tuesday! Being homebound and gimpy isn’t fun, but the pain is manageable and my doc says the procedure went well, so hopefully I’ll have a smooth and not-too-lengthy recovery.

Meanwhile: It turns out, perhaps unsurprisingly, that a hospital is a good place to find stick figures in peril. The first one I noticed yesterday came shortly after I arrived for my surgery appointment, when an intake nurse was entering some of my data into one of those computer consoles mounted on a portable stand that can be raised or lowered to match the user’s height. I noticed this sticker on the stand:
