I received a note the other day from Inconspicuous Consumption reader Benji Boyter, as follows:

My job requires a fair amount of travel. During a trip in December, my wife pointed out a sign for the “Bag Claim” [see above] and casually wondered why they chose to use Bag instead of the more traditional Baggage when there was clearly enough space on the sign for the longer word.

Since then, it’s become something I look for in every airport. It’s fun, and it also breaks up the monotony of airport travel, if only for a second.

Benji sent along a bunch of additional photos from the various airports he’s visited since then — some with Baggage Claim and some with Bag Claim. Here’s the rundown, listed alphabetically by location:
