Happy birthday! I heard about the auctioning of commemorative street signs on WNYC today, this one to mark the start of baseball season... I guess they do this every time they want to commemorate something. Who knew! Not me! This one is 161st and Shea. https://www.nyc.gov/html/dot/html/infrastructure/custom-signs.shtml

After reading that you watch Severance, I would love to know what else you are watching. My wife and I love it. Or file that away for your next AMA. :)

Pretty much nothing else! Got into S1 three yrs ago and was eager for S2. But aside from that (and the Mets, now that the baseball season is starting), I pretty much don’t watch tv anymore.

So much good here, but I think my favorite tidbit might just be on Noble's own sign... The super retro "Take the NOBLE Path."

I gasped at the giant S on the bathroom

So, so much to like here. Thanks for writing. Just a few highlights for me:

The multicolored light bulbs on the Super Express Deli sign, first unlit, then lit!

The afterthought of "Mikel's Shoes. We sell and repair watches and shoes"!

The magazine title "Signs of the Times"

I've been a fan of their work for a few years now, discovering it from my local skate shop who is a Noble Signs customer. I got to haggle a tour a few years ago, by bringing in some photos from my girlfriend's family, since her great grandfather was a sign painter in New Jersey.

Completely off topic mostly, but I see on Speedy Romero's menu they have capers as a pizza topping. Long time readers know your feelings about capers on a hot dog, but what about a pizza?

My friend Matt got capers on his pizza last night and we ended up discussing that! I’ve never tried it but may experiment the next time I have a pie delivered at home. I’ll put capers on a slice and see what I think!

First thing I noticed in the first pic was the gorgeous hammered tin ceiling at Noble!

If all you did was watch the Severance finale, dayenu! I won’t spoil for anybody here but I can’t wait for S3
